How much does dog grooming cost?

Full grooms start at £50 and vary by breed, size and coat type. A trim and tidy is £24, a wash and go £28, and nail clipping £15. Every price on this page includes VAT.

Why does grooming cost different amounts for different dogs?

It comes down to time. A Cockapoo takes around two hours to do properly; a French Bulldog takes one. Coat length, how much clipping is needed, size and how the dog copes with handling all change how long the appointment runs.

An eight-weekly Cockapoo works out at £33 a month. You'll see your own figure on screen before committing to anything.

Common questions about pricing

Will I be charged extra on the day?

Only if the coat needs significantly more work than expected — heavy matting, or a long gap since the last groom. We'll tell you before we start, never after, and you can decide then. Most people never see an extra charge.

Why is my dog more than my friend's?

Almost always coat rather than size. A curly or long coat needs combing through, clipping and drying right down to the skin, which is a two-hour job. A short-coated dog of the same weight can be done in one.

Do you charge more for a matted coat?

Where it adds real time, yes. Dematting is slow, careful work and it isn't fair to charge the same as a coat in good condition. We'll always assess it with you first and be honest about whether it's worth saving the length or kinder to clip short.

Is a deposit needed?

Not for a standard appointment. Booking online shows you the price up front and payment is taken at the salon.

My breed isn't listed. What will it cost?

We groom every breed. If yours isn't on the list, the size-based full groom prices at the top are the right guide, or select your breed when booking online and the exact figure appears. Ring us if you'd rather just ask.
